Hoops4Heroes Rescheduled to March 25th, 2017

OPEN LETTER TO PARTNERS, SUPPORTERS, AND PLAYERS

By Tom Copeland, Organizer, Hoops4Heroes 2017

Due to scheduling conflicts during November of 2016, when we would have held our third-annual Hoops4Heroes 3ON3 basketball tournament fundraiser, we have decided to move the event to Saturday, March 25th, 2017. This decision primarily has to do with the belief that hosting on a Saturday would attract more players and a bigger audience. If March turns out to be as good a change as we anticipate, it will become permanent. We hope this re-scheduling does not adversely impact your plans to participate.

We also wanted to share another big change for the next event. The decision has been made to keep our donations local by partnering with Mike Durkee and his amazing team at Wounded Warriors of South Florida to be the beneficiaries of Hoops4Heroes going forward! WWSF’s mission is to provide financial support to post 9/11 disabled combat veterans and their families. We couldn’t be more excited to work with such an amazing, local group.

Some things will remain the same, including our partnership with Palm Beach Atlantic University, and the patriotic theme of the tournament. Re-scheduling for March also opens up new opportunities to bring about some other great promotional groups and organizations that we have in prior years been unable to book due to scheduling conflicts with Veteran’s Day.

Look for an email from us in early 2017 to solicit your feedback and opinions for how we can make the next Hoops4Heroes bigger and better than ever. Until then, feel free to reach out to me with questions and suggestions, and thanks for taking the time to read this. The email address to send to is TCopeland at 800GOLDLAW.com.
